Type 1 Conditional

Bentuk

Dalam kalimat type 1 conditional, tense dalam klausa if adalah simple present dan tense dalam klausa utama adalah simple future.

Klausa if (kondisi)	Klausa utama (hasil/akibat)
If + Simple Present	Simple Future
If this thing happens	that thing will happen.

 

Contoh

·           If it rains, you will get wet.

·           You will get wet if it rains.

·           If Sally is late again I will be mad.

·           I will be mad if Sally is late again.

·           If you don't hurry, you will miss the bus.

·           You will miss the bus if you don't hurry.

Fungsi

Type 1 conditional merujuk ke kondisi yang mungkin terjadi dan kemungkinan hasilnya..

Dalam kalimat type 1 conditional, waktunya adalah masa kini atau masa depan dan situasinya adalah nyata.

Contoh

·           If I have time, I will finish that letter.

·           What will you do if you miss the plane?

·           Nobody will notice if you make a mistake.

·           If you drop that glass, it will break.

·           If you don't drop the gun, I'll shoot!

The Jakarta administration is planning to open 17,900 new graves  for COVID-19 victims in (1)................ after recording a recent increase in the number of burials in the past few weeks. The administration will (2)................  four cemetery expansion project and open two new plot that will provide the city 101,100 square meters of land – an area equivalent to round 14 soccer fields – for coronavirus (3)............. .

Authorities have prepared a 3,000 sq m plot of land to (4)............. the Bambu Apus cemetery in East Jakarta. The expansion will be able to (5).............  800 bodies. The city is also preparing 12,000 sq m of additional land in Srengsem Sawah cemetery in South Jakarta as well as 5,000 sq m in Tegal Alur in West Jakarta, providing space for futrhure 1,900 and 800 graves. An additional 8,100 sq m was also prepared to expand Rorotan cemetary in North Jakarta to provide space for another 1,500 bodies. Last year, the city administration (6).............   two plots of open green space in Lubang Buaya and Kramat Jati in East Jakarta for newe cemetaries.
